Nintendo Switch OLED features

Nintendo has made some design and storage improvements to the Nintendo Switch. The new Nintendo Switch model has a larger 7-inch OLED panel instead of the 6.2-inch LCD screen. The resolution is still 1280×720 pixels. The 64GB internal storage has been doubled by the video game developer, and the new Nintendo console will now offer 64GB. The shell of the new Nintendo Switch OLED console’s shell is slightly wider. Although the slim bezels allow for wide viewing, the console does not support 4K.

Nintendo has also added an Ethernet port to its dock and improved the audio quality on the Switch model. The OLED model also features a large, adjustable kickstand at its back. The dock can be purchased separately and will likely work with the standard model.

The internals of the OLED model have not been changed by Nintendo, as we already mentioned. The base model still uses the Nvidia Tegra X1 SOC. Android Authority points out the Switch OLED model was designed with mobile gamers in mind. They will be able take the Switch from the dock and play their favorite games in handheld mode. The new Nintendo Switch OLED model is available in two sets: the standard Neon Red/Neon Blue and an exclusive White. It will be sold together with the Standard Switch, Switch Lite and the OLED model of Nintendo Switch.
